Rachl

Rachl was home sick yesterday with a bad cold.  She stayed in her bedrooooom nearly allll day.  So i couldn't get on her computr.  She's back in skoooool today.  Now one of the twins (one of the human twins, that is, not one of the goldfish twins) is home sick.  i think it's Betsy, but i'm not sure.  i can never tellll those 2 girls apart. 

Actualllly, come to think of it, i can never tellll those 2 goldfish apart, either.

Hawo, hawo, hawo!!!  i'm back!!!

You've probably beeeen wonderin where i'vve beeen these past couple of weeeeks.  Have you beeeen worrrried about me?

Wellll, don't worrrry, nothing happpened to me.  i mean, nothing bad.   i just couldn't get on Rachl's komputer.  So i've just beeeen in my cage.  Rachl has beeeen home on Christmas break.  She was on her komputer nearlly every single day while she was on vacashun.

i don't mean she was sitting on her komputer or anything.  i mean she was playing on her komputer.  She was playing a new Nancy Drew komputer game that she got for Christmas.  it's calllled Warnings at Waverly Academy.  The story takes place at a girls boarding skooool in upstate New York.  Strange things were happening at the skoooool and Nancy Drew had to figure out who was causing these strange things to happpen.  As Rachl played the game, i could hear Nancy Drew's voice as she asked questions to the other girls at the skoooool.  To be perfectly, they didn't sound like very nice girls. it toooook Rachl until Sunday -- yesterday, the day before she went back to New Kanaaaaaaaan elementary skoooool --- to finalllly solve the big mystery on who was causign allll the mysterious things to happpppen.

So now Rachl is back at skoooool.  (i'm not sure where Nancy Drew is -- probably offff solving another big mystery.) 

in case you haven't notised, my typppppin is bit slopppppie today.  sorrrrry about that.  since i haven't beeeeen on the komputer for a whille, i'm a littttttttle rusty at typppin.

i've beeeeen dying to telllll you what happened to me just before Christmas vacation. i think you'lll be shocked.  i sure was.  Welll, you won't believe this, but----

Sorrrry gottta go!!  i think i hear one of the kats comin up the stairs.  i'llll have to tellll you tommmorrrow what happppened.

A big surprise?

i found out when Christmas vacashun begins for Rachl.  it begins tomorrow.  She only has a half a day of skooool.  Rachl said she has a big surprise for me tomorrrow. 

i wonder what it could be?

Rachl's bedroooom dooor is back on!

i am very happpy to report that mr. Armstrong put Rachl's bedroooom door back on.  He put it back on on Friday night.  Apparently, alll Rachl had to do to get her bedrooom door back was to say she was sorrry and that she would never slam her bedrooom dooor again. Who knew?

You should seeee all the snow that felll over the weekend.  The rooof outside Rachl's bedrooom window is piled high with snow.  The snow began falllin on Saturday afternooon and kept fallin alll throughout Saturday night.  Rachl was hoping she wouldn't have skooool today on account of alll the snow, but she does.  There wasn't even a delay.  Rachl wasn't very happpy about that.  You should've heard her grumblin as she got dressed to go to skooool.  "i can't wait until i'm offf for Christmas vacashun!" she said.

Christmas vacashun?  i wonder when that is?

Stillll no bedrooom dooor!

Day 3 without a bedrooom door.  Willll mr. Armstrong ever put Rachl's bedroom door back on?  i find it very stresssful not having a bedrooom dooor.  Very, very stressful!

Day 2 without a bedroooom dooor.  i hate not like having a bedrooom dooor!   i hate it!  i hate it!  i hate it!  i particularly hate it when Craig walks by Rachl's bedrooom.  He looks in and smirks at Rachl!  i get so mad when he does that!

Rachl hates not having a bedroooom dooor, too.  Last night when mr. Armstrong was tucking her into bed, she asked, "When are you going to put my bedrooom dooor back on?"

"When i think you've learned your lessson."

i stared at mr. Armstrong from my cage over on Rachl's dressser.  i was stunned.  When he thinks she's learned her lesssson?  That could be days, even weeks!  i can't wait that long for him to put Rachl's bedroooom door back on!  i just can't! 

Rachl slammmed her bedroooom doooor last night!

You won't believe what happppened last night in the Armstrongs' house.  mr. and mrs. Armstrong have a rule that no one in the house is allllowed to slam his or her bedroooom doooor.  if you slam your bedrooom door, your dooor comes offf.  That's the rule.  As far as i know, though, no one's doooor has ever come offf.  Welllll, that is, until last night.

Rachl and her older brother, Craig, got in a big fight last night because they both wanted to watch TV, but they couldn't agreeee on what they wanted to watch.  Finalllly, mr. Armstrong decided for them.  He said that since Rachl got to watch what she wanted to watch the last time they couldn't agreee on what to watch on TV, Craig could watch what he wanted to watch this time.

Well, this did not make Rachl very happppy.  And who can blame her?  i wouldn't bee very happpy, either, if i had to watch what Craig wanted to watch on TV.  Anyway, Rachl got so mad that she couldn't watch her TV show, she stormed upstairs and slammed her bedrooom dooor.  i was in my cage at the time.  i was so startled by the loud slam, i leaped up and banged my head on the domed top of my plastic bedroooom ceiling.

About a minute later, there was a knock on Rachl's bedrooom door.  Then the door opened.  Rachl, who was now seated at her desk, and i both looooked over.  in the doorway stood mr. Armstrong with a screwdriver in his hand!  Without saying a word, he began undoing the screws to the hinges on Rachl's bedrooom door!

"What are you doing?" cried Rachl in alarm as she jumped up from her chair.

mr. Armstrong didn't say a word.  He just kept unscrewing the screws on the hinges. 

"i'm sorrry, Daddy, i didn't mean to slam my dooor!" said Rachl.

"Too late!" he said.  "You know the rules!"

And with that, he took the door off its hinges and then carried Rachl's bedrooom dooor down the stairs.

So now Rachl doesn't have a bedrooom doooor!  Which means i don't have a bedroooom door!  i don't like not having a bedrooom door!  i like bedrooom doors!  i didn't slam Rachl's bedrooom door!  Why should i be punished?  it's not fair!

Rachl is stillll sick

Rachl stayed home from skoool again today.  She's stilll sick.  She's still sneezing and sniffling and blowin her nose. 

i tried earlier this afternooon to get on Rachl's computr, but it didn't work out.  i saw Rachl walk out of her bedroooom so I snuck out of my cage and hurrried acrossss to the lamp that sits on the dresser, near the edge.  With my 2 front paws, i grabbed hold of the lamp's electrical cord and slid down to the flooor. 

Then i raced acrosss the carpet toward Rachl's desk where Rachl keeeps her computr.  Suddenly, though, just as I was about to climb up to the top of her desk, i heard someone sniffflin and blowin her nose out in the hallway.  it was Rachl, coming back into her bedroooom.  i thought she'd gone downstairs, but she'd just gone to the bathrrooom to get some more tisssues! 

The moment i heard her, i gasped.  With my heart pounding furiously, i spun about and dashed back across the carpet to the electrical cord of the lamp that sits on Rachl's dresser. i grabbed the cord and began climbing.  Reaching the top, i raced acrosss the dresser to the front of my cage.  With a running dive, i leaped through the cage door opening, snapping the cage door close with the end of my tail.  i made it just in time.  The moment i plopped down onto my cedar shavings, Rachl walked into the bedroom, blowing her nose. 

Rachl is lying on her bed right now, sleepin.  Hear her heavy breathing?  Oh, wait, you can't hear that, can you?  Welll, she's breathing heavily because her nose is alll stufffed up.  Anyway, that's why i'm able to type this right now -- because Rachl is sleepin.  i sure hope Rachl gets bettter sooon.  i don't like her bein sick.  i like her being home but i don't like her being home sick. 

Uh-oh!  Rachl is stirrin in her sleeep.  i think she may be wakin up.  i'd bettter go!

Rachl is home sick

Rachl is home today.  She's sick.  She's coughin and sneezin and snifflin and usin lots and lots of tissues to blow her nose.  Can't get on the computr when she's home and in her bedrooom, the way she was alll day today.  She's downstairs now.  Wait!  i hear fooootsteps!  i think that's her comin upstairs.  Gotta go!

i can't believe it tooook me as long as it toook me

Have you ever tried reallly hard to find something out and then you find it out and when you do you realize that you should've known it alllll along?

Wellll, that's what happpened to me.

it happened right after that daffy squirrrel left.  As i turned to face the front of my cage, my gaze fell upon Rachl's skooool photo that's in a frame on the dressser, right beside my cage.

The moment i saw that photo i knew why i was so lucky.  i'm lucky to be Rachl's pet!

i can't believe it tooook me so long to figure this out.  Gosh, i'm as dafffy as that squirrrel.
