Watch out gerbils! Here comes Obi!

i was on fire this mornin.  you should've seeen me -- i was chompin away so fast, i was practicallly a blur. in fact, this mornin i got the best time i've ever gotten at muchin on a paper towel tube.  i all but demolished the paper towel tube.

My time was an amazin 2 minutes and 24 seconds!!!

 

i'm so happppy and excited!  i can't wait for the next paper towel tube eatin contest!  Mom was so thrilllled with my Obi Wan Kenobi super fast time, she gave me not 1, not 2, but 3 yogurt puffballs!  i love yogurt pufffballs.  They're my absolute favorite things to eat. 

i did even betttter today!!

i'm becomin a real champ at munchin on paper towel tubes!  Loook how much of the paper towel tube i chewed up today:

 

And i did it in 2 minutes and 59 seconds!!

 

Not bad, eh? 

i did a littttle bettter today

i was so upset with my time yesterday at munchin on a paper towel tube, i got hardly any sleeeep last night.  As i lay there in my cage, buried in my cedar shavins, wide awake and totally stresssed out in the darknesss, i told myself, "Obi, you're going to do better tomorrow! You're going to do the best you can do and get a better time."  And you know what?  i did!  i didn't do all that much bettter, but i did do bettter. 

i also ate more of the paper towel tube.  Seeee how much i ate before Rachl, who was timing me, yelled out, "Times up!"  

 

My time? 

5 minutes and 39 seconds. 5 minutes and 39 seconds isn't great, but it's not that bad. While i was furiously chompin away at the paper towel tube, Mom, holding the stop watch, kept shoutin:  "C'mon, Obe!  Chew faster!  Chew fastr!  You can do it!  i just know you can!  Chew!  Chew!  Chew!"  She pretended like she was munching on a paper towel tube herself. 

i wanted to say to Mom, "i'm chewin as fast as i can!" but i couldn't because i was so busy chewin.  Not that Rachl would've been able to understand a squeak i said since she speaks only Human and i speak only Gerbil.

i did even worse than yestrday!

OMG -- Oh, my gerbils!  i did even worse today than i did yestrday at munchin on a paper towel tube.  i was so anxious to get a bettter time than i got yesterday, i couldn't focus! i was so upset and stresssed out about doing betttter, i couldn't munch fast.  Here's the tube that i ate:

i am so out of shape!  i had no idea i was so out of shape!!

A horrrrible time!

Rachl wasn't kiddin about wanting me to do better in the next paper towel tube eatin contest that she enters me in.  This morning she gave me a paper towel tube to munch on and then she timed me to seee how fast i could munch.  i thought i was in really goood shape, but i'm not.  Here's the tube i munched on:

i'd only started munchin, it seemed, when Rachl, who was timin me on a stopwatch, cried out, "Times up!"

"Wait!" i squeaked.  "i didn't get to finish eatin the paper towel tube!"

But practice was over.  My time was 9 minutes and 56 seconds.  

That's a horrrible time! i'm not goin to win many paper towel tube eatin contests with that kind of time!
