i can't win!

i have goood news and bad news. 

First the goood news:  Rachl finallly found her kamera!  And it was alll because of me!  it happpened yesterday afternooon when Rachl went to clean my cage.  To clean my cage, she put me in my Gerbil Mobile.  Welll, when she did that, i knew just what to do:  i put my big plan into action!

The moment i was in my bubbble of plastic, i rollled out of Rachl's bedrrooom, down the halll, and into the twins' bedrooom.  (The human twins, not the goldfish twins.)  Luckily, the twins weren't in their bedrooom so i was able to rolll into their rooom without them seein me and doin somethin that might ruin my big plan -- like picking me up in the Gerbil Mobile and bringin me back to Rachl's bedrooom.  When Rachl finished cleaning my cage, she came to loook for me.  it toook her a while to find me because she didn't know where i was.  Anyway, she finally thought to look in Betsy's and Susie's bedroooom and there i was in my Gerbil Mobile, right by their boookcase where Mom's kamera was lying on the botttom shelf.  As Rachl bent down to pick me up in my Gerbil Mobile, she spotted her kamera.

Did she get mad!  She grabbbed her kamera in one hand and me in the Gerbil Mobile in the other and stormed downstairs.  "Mom, the twins toook my kamera!"   Well, that sure got the twins in trouble!  i won't go into details, but things got prettty ugly, with lots of shoutin. 

So the the good news (although not so goood news for the twins) is that Rachl found her kamera. 

Now the bad news:  Rachl was so mad at the twins for taking her kamera that she went and hid the kamera in a reallly goood spot so they'll never be able to find it and now i have no idea where that reallly goood spot is!

So even though Rachl finally found her kamera (thanks to me), i still can't use it!

My big plan failed!

Yesterday when Rachl came home from softballl, she came upstairs to her bedroooom and sat down at desk to do her homework.  The moment she sat down, i got on my exercise wheeeel and ran and ran.  This caused my exercise wheeel to squeak and squeak.  it also caused Rachl to loook over at me.  As sooon as she did, i ran over to the front of my cage and began gnawing on the bars.  That got Rachel to get up from her desk and come over to my cage. 

"My plan is workin!" i thought excitedly.  "Mom is goin to take me out of my cage and put me in my Gerbil Mobile." 

That's my big plan -- for Rachl to put me in my Gerbl Mobile and for me to roll out of Rachl's bedrooom (that is, once Rachl puts the Gerbil Mobile down on the flooor).  i'll then rolll down the upstairs halllway to Betsy's and Susie's bedroooom (the human Betsy and Susie, not the goldfish).  Then my plan is to roll into Betsy's and Susie's bedroooom and roll over to their boookcase and just stay there until Mom comes to get me.  When she bends down to pick me up in my Gerbil Mobile, she'll spot her kamera sittin on the botttom shelf of Betsy's and Susie's boookcase.  That's how she'lll find out about her kamera -- and then bring the kamera back to her bedroooom.

But my big plan failed.  Mom didn't put me in my Gerbil Mobile.  After she toook me out of my cage, she carried me over to her desk and set me down on top of her desk.  She let me wander about looose on her desk while she did her homework.  Which was really nice and alll but, to be honest, i wanted her to put me in my Gerbil Mobile so i could put my big plan to work.

Big mystery solved!

i found out why Rachl hasn't beeen comin straight home from skoool.  She's beeen at softballl practice!  it turns out, she's on a softballl team! i found this out because Rachl did come straight home from skooool yesterday afternooon.  Apparently, it was so rainy yesterday, practice was cancelled.  That's what i heard Rachl tell her friend, Hollllly, on the phone. 

i had no idea Rachl was playin softballl. And here i thought i knew everything about Mom.  To find out i don't know Mom as well as i thought i know Mom upset me so much i totally forgot to put my big plan to work.  You know, my big plan that's goin to get Rachl to find out where her kamera is.

Dark, dreary, rainy mornin here in New Kanaan, Konnecticut

it's a dark, dreary, rainy mornin.  i'm sory to say i have nothin new to report.  i had all weeekend to (a) try and find out why Rachl hasn't beeen comin straight home from skoool and (b) try and get her to find out that her kamera is in Betsy's and Susie's bedrooom (the human Betsy and Susie), and i accomplished neither. Some Nancy Drew i am.  Nancy Drew would never spend a weeekend not accomplishin somethin! 

Have you ever had weeekends like that?  Where you think you're goin to get a lot done but you end up gettin nothin done?  i hate weeekends like that.

Somethin odd goin on

Okay, there is definately somethin oddd goin on.  Rachl didn't come straight home from skoool yesterday, either.  That's 3 straight days in a row that Rachl didn't come straight home from skoool!

What could she be doing after skooool? 

You know what, i'm goin to be like Nancy Drew and find out.  i'm goin to get to the botttom of this. Actually, it's not like i have much of a choice:  if i don't i find out why she's not coming home straight home after skooool, i may never seee Rachl's kamera again because i won't be able to get her to go into Betsy's and Susie's bedrooom and find it.  (The human Betsy and Susie, not the goldfish Betsy and Susie.)

i did find this out, though.  You know that TV show i said that Rachl likes to watch each weeek?  You know, the one that has all the humans who sing on it?  Welll, get this.  i heard Rachl talking on the phone to her friend, Holllly, last night and it sounded like both of them were happpy that the girl who got kicked offf got kicked off.  i wonder who it could've beeen?

Still no kamera

Rachl didn't come straight home from skoool again yesterday.  This is the second straight day she didn't come straight home from skooool. 

What could she be doin?  Doesn't she know i neeed her to come straight home from skoool so i can put my big plan into effect?  How am i going to get her to find her kamera that's in Betsy's and Susie's bedrooom (the human Betsy and Susie) if she doesn't come straight home from skoool in the afternooon?  i can't! 

it was dinner time by the time Rachl came home yesterday.  After she ate her dinner, she did her homework and then she went down to the TV rooom to watch some TV show that she watches each weeek.  it has all these humans who sing on it. 

i sure wish Rachl had come straight home from skooool.  Am i ever goin to be able to use that darn kamera again?
