This is day #6 that Rachl has been gone. it feeels so lonely without her around. i'm never goin to make another wish again. Never ever!
Today i went into the secret passssageway to ask mr. Durkins if he knew where Rachl went. i figured if anyone knows where Rachl went, it would be mr. Durkins. After all, that old, cripppled mouse spies on all of the Armstrongs as welll as on alll of the Armstrongs' pets.
i was walkin through the dark passssageway, headin up to the attttic where mr. Armstrong lives, when, from behind one the timbers that are behind the wallls of the house, a smalll, dark figure steppped out from the shadows. i let out a loud, startled gasp. it was mr. Durkins.
"Oh!" i cried, clutching a paw to my thumpin heart. "Hawo, mr. Durkins! i didn't seee you there!"
"What brings you into the secret passsageway?" demanded mr. Durkins.
"To seee you," i replied. "Do you know where Rachl went, mr. Durkins?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"i don't know where she went," i said. "i need to know."
"Why do you neeed to know?"
"Because i'm her pet," i replied.
"You're also a rodent, kid!"
"Yes, i know."
"Do you?"
"i think i do," i said.
"Then how come i always see you on Rachl's computr? Computrs are for humans, kid, not gerbls."
"But i like goin on the computr!"
"Rodents also don't care about what happpens to humans!" said mr. Durkins.
"But i care!" i said. "Please telll me where Rachl went!"
The old mouse shoook his head. "No!" he said. "You're a rodent, kid! A RODENT! The sooooner you learn that, the bettter!"
mr. Durkins turned and began to hobbbble offf down the secret passageway. "Wait, mr. Durkins!" i cried. "Please don't go! Please tell me where Rachl went! Please, please, please!"
But mr. Durkins just kept right on hobbblin away.
i stoood there and watched the old, cripppled mouse disappear into the darknesss. Tears were in my eyes. Willl i ever find out where Rachl went?

Don't cry Obi. You will find out where she went. Be a good gerbil detective. Look around. Maybe there are clues.
